Beginner Exerciser
On the right path
Congratulations on making the decision to enjoy a healthier lifestyle. Remember that it's always a good idea to get your doctor's advice before beginning any new exercise program. Below are some general recommendations on where you can start when you come to the club. If you have any special needs, we will work closely with your health care provider to cater a program especially for you.
- Cardiovascular/Heart Health - Just two to three workouts a week for a duration of at least 20 minutes each time is enough to start seeing improvements in your cardiovascular conditioning. Talk to a trainer about what level of exertion you should be working at.
- Suggested Classes to Take: Lite Aerobics, Low Impact 1, and Waterworks
- Workout Equipment: Bicycle, Treadmill, and Pool
- Strength Training - In as little as two visits a week, for about 20 - 30 minutes each time, our Nautilus circuit will work all of your core muscles and have you feeling and seeing results in no time! Be sure to set-up a free appointment with a professional trainer so they can guide you through it the first couple of times.
- Stretching - Taking just 10 minutes out of your day, two days a week will help you stay mobile, improve balance and coordination, and reduce your chance for injury. After injury, ask one of our trainers to help get you set up on a stretch program.
- Suggested Classes to Take: Sr. Pilates Basics
- Other Options - Jump Start Testing & Personal Training
