So you're ready to step it up a notch? Changing things up in your usual routine will help you challenge your body to achieve greater levels of fitness. It can also help keep you from getting bored.
- Cardiovascular/Heart Health - - Increasing your workouts to a duration of 30 - 40 minutes, 3-5x a week will make a big difference. However, in order to really see a change, try increasing the intensity of your workouts and change up the kinds of machines you use and classes you take so that you're not always working the same muscles in the same way.
- Suggested Classes to Take: Cycle 45 or 60, Group Groove, and Low Impact 2
- Workout Equipment: Elliptical, Stairmaster, Bicycle, and Treadmill
- Strength Training - Increase your Nautilus workouts to 3x a week, every other day, or start familiarizing yourself with Free Weights. You can also start taking some appropriate strength building group exercise classes.
- Suggested Classes to Take: Group Power
- Stretching - Taking just 10 minutes out of your day, two to three days a week will help you continue increasing your mobility, balance and coordination.
